The North Jetty stretches out into the bay over two miles. You can climb along the rocks The quiet waters along the jetty are great for fishing but too shallow for swimming.

Tie a chicken neck to a sting and try your luck at crabbing. When you feel a tug use the net to catch a crab. Throw back the females (they have red tips on their claws) and any that are less than 8 inches across their back.

A trip to the Strand in Galveston is fun. Visit the shops and restaurants along the docks. The kids love a visit to the Human Maze

Sea Rim Park out side of Port Arthur is a real adventure. Lazy alligators snooze below your feet Don't get too close they hiss and can really be dangerous.
